Anti-spam policy
Last updated 26 September 2026
Orbitmate exists to help people start relevant conversations on LinkedIn, not to send more messages. This policy explains what we expect from everyone who sends through Orbitmate, and what we do when outreach turns into spam. It sits alongside our acceptable use policy and terms of service. It is issued by UPSAAS Technologies LLP.
What good outreach looks like
- Relevant. Contact people because of something specific: their role, their work or what they posted. Orbitmate researches each person so every message can have a real reason.
- Measured. Send at a pace a person would. Each sender has daily caps, a warm-up period and working hours; do not try to get around them.
- Honest. Say who you are and who you represent. Every message is reviewed by someone on your team before it is sent, and you are responsible for it.
- Respectful. When someone says no, or asks you to stop, stop.
What is not allowed
- Messaging people with no reasonable connection to what you offer, or in bulk with the same untargeted text.
- Using contact lists that were bought, rented or scraped in breach of the source’s terms or the law, or that the people on them never agreed to.
- Contacting anyone who has asked you, or the business you act for, not to contact them, including through a different sender.
- Hiding or faking who a message is from, impersonating someone, or using misleading claims, offers or subject lines.
- Rotating or creating LinkedIn accounts to get past LinkedIn’s limits or a recipient’s block.
- Sending content that is unlawful, harassing, sexually explicit, or promotes scams, malware or deceptive schemes.
The law still applies
LinkedIn messages are covered by privacy, marketing and anti-spam laws in many countries, including the GDPR and UK GDPR, the ePrivacy rules, CAN-SPAM and Canada’s CASL. You are responsible for knowing which apply to your outreach and following them. Where a law is stricter than this policy, the law wins.
What happens if this policy is broken
We look into reports and signs of abuse. Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- warn you and ask you to change how you send;
- pause the senders or campaigns involved;
- suspend or close the account, as our terms of service allow.
We may act without notice where outreach is causing harm to recipients, to LinkedIn accounts or to other customers.
Reporting spam
If you received an unwanted message you think was sent with Orbitmate, write to support@orbitmate.ai with the sender’s name and, if you can, a screenshot. We review every report. Asking the sender directly to stop also works: Orbitmate ends outreach to anyone the sender marks as not to be contacted.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product and the law change. The version on this page is the current one, and the date above shows when it last changed.
